1) Diploma in Instrumentation/ electronic or equivalent OR Have Secondary School plus two (2) years-technical training or equivalent
2) Have five (5) years’ experience for Diploma holder OR eight (8) years’ experience for Higher Secondary School + (2) years technical training certificate holder in Oil, Gas, Power plant and petroleum industry for the installation repair and maintenance pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic metering instruments and control systems
3)Have the skill to check, calibrate and repair pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic instruments and controls and protective interlocks.
4) Exposure to some of the following:-
PLC data monitors.
DCS’s such as Rosemount RS-3/Foxboro IAS/Honeywell TDC3000 and like.
Protective system, startup /shutdown sequences, vibration and governing system of Gas Turbines such as GE/Rolls Royce/Ruston and reciprocating compressor such as CB like.
5)Performs maintenance on pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic instruments and control systems including microprocessor based systems, engine management systems PLC’s DCS’s, SCADA, fire and gas monitoring and protection system, Plant/Instrument air supply/drier packages, solar power based wellhead surface safety systems, Rotating Equipment.
6) Diagnoses problems or potential problems with control system – pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical and DCS related.
7) Performs preventive maintenance on instrument control systems and protective systems.
